Browse by legal area
Feitlijn sorts judgments into legal areas and, within each area, into topics. Use them to see the case law on a subject, or to follow a topic.
Open a legal area or topic
Section titled “Open a legal area or topic”- On a case page, the legal areas and topics are listed above the parties. Click one to see other judgments on it.
- In search results, filter on Rechtsgebieden. See Search case law.
- For the full list, open a topic and click Rechtsgebieden at the top. You can search it with Zoek rechtsgebied of tag….
A topic page shows the judgments on that topic and the legal area it belongs to (Onderdeel van).
Follow a topic
Section titled “Follow a topic”On a topic page, click Volg dit onderwerp. When a law firm writes about a new judgment on that topic, Nina emails you. Manage what you follow under Alerts in the top bar.

How judgments get their topics
Section titled “How judgments get their topics”Feitlijn assigns legal areas and topics automatically when it analyses a judgment, and the Feitlijn team corrects them where needed. A judgment can be in several areas at once.
