Organise case law in folders

Folders keep the case law for a matter together. In Feitlijn’s left sidebar they are listed under Workspaces: each folder is one of your Mino workspaces, so it also holds the matter’s documents in the Mino dashboard. You need to be signed in to create folders.

  • Click the + next to Workspaces in the left sidebar, type a name and press Enter.
  • Or drag a case from Recent bekeken (recently viewed) onto Sleep hier voor nieuwe workspace. Feitlijn creates a folder called “Nieuwe workspace” with the case in it; rename it from the folder page.

Folders sit side by side; they can’t be nested.

  • From a case page: click the folder icon (Opslaan in map) at the top right of the case and pick a folder, or create a new one. Step by step: Save a judgment to a folder.
  • From the sidebar: drag a case from Recent bekeken onto a folder.

Cases cited in the documents of the matter’s Mino workspace also appear in the folder, marked Uit document (from a document).

To take a case out of a folder, open the folder, hover over the case card and click the cross (Verwijder uit map).

The Chat panel on the right of a folder page answers questions across all cases in the folder, including those found in your documents. For example:

  • “What do these cases have in common?”
  • “How does the burden of proof differ across these rulings?”
  • “Summarise the key holdings”

Folder chat is part of Mino Pro. See pricing.

Open the folder from the sidebar. Click the pencil next to its name (Naam bewerken) to rename it, or the bin (Map verwijderen) to delete it. You can also right-click a folder in the sidebar and choose Verwijder map. Deleting a folder removes the folder, not the judgments: they stay available in Feitlijn.

To keep a case without filing it in a matter, click the bookmark icon on the case page (Voeg toe aan Mijn Feitlijn). Bookmarked cases are listed under Starred in the sidebar, which opens a page with all of them.

Documents belong to the matter’s workspace in the Mino dashboard at app.mino.law. Upload them there; Feitlijn picks up the cases they cite, as described above.
